French Factory Mascots

Manufacturer:  Bugatti, Germany 1909-1918; France, 1918-1956.  Elephant.

Bugatti Elephant, produced in 1929.  Made in bronze and silver plated.  Designed by Rembrandt Bugatti and used on the type 41 Royale.  With only six type 41 Royale's made, and perhaps with only a couple of hundred mascots produced, this is probably the most desirable mascot in the world for any true collector.

Signed by the foundry Valsuani.  I have never seen a genuine one, and I will certainly never own one.  A type 41 Royale Elephant sold for a massive 204,000 in 2009 a world record for any metal mascot.
