French Factory Mascots

Manufacturer:  Hotchkiss 1903-1954.  Radiator Badge.

The badge of the Hotchkiss featured two crossed cannons, entirely appropriate for a company that stared life manufacturing munitions and only in 1903 did the company produced its first vehicles.  This badge dates from around the 1920s and is of a design that continued right up until 1954 when they merged with Peugeot and Delahaye Cars.  At this time the production of cars ceased.  However US-designed Jeeps and trucks were made up until the 1970s.
