Early 1920s Saint Michael. The patron saint of Brussels, where the Miesse cars were produced. This is their official factory mascot for the company.
There is also a St George the patron saint of England slaying a Dragon. Both mascots are very similar in design however the English version is made from plated brass and are not signed, George is not wearing a hat.
This is the rarer of the two mascots. St. Michael slaying the Dragon was designed by A. Foulon. Made from white metal and signed. |
