Boyce - Michigan Motor Car Company Dial Insert.

A 3-1/4" Boyce motometer, with a Michigan Motor Car Company dial insert.  The Michigan was manufactured between 1903 and 1913.  The meter is mounted on a die-cast zinc, flip-top cap.

The topper attachment is a swimmer made by the Art Metal Works, Newark, NJ and is marked Pat'd Apr. 8, 1924.  The Art Metal Works was the old L. V. Aronson company, who later went on to become the famous Ronson Corporation, manufacturers of cigarette lighters.
