|This is a very unusual side mirror with a mascot pedestal. Made from die-cast zinc and either chrome, gold, silver or nickel plated. Made in the USA from the late 1920's to the mid 1930's.
They were sold as accessory mirrors. Some had chains to fit them to the spare wheel. It was possible to commission a pair of mirrors that matched - as close as possible - to your bonnet mascot. This would give the vehicle a matching set. A rare sight and only for the very wealthy.
