British Factory Mascots

Manufacturer:  Vulcan Motors Lancashire 1902-1928.  Early Vulcan.

Vulcan - God of industry, shown standing beside his anvil.  This image was adopted by the Vulcan Motor Manufacturing and Engineering Co. Ltd. as their official mascot.  Made from bronze or brass, some were nickel plated.  Reproductions not normally fitted on a radiator cap.  The example shown here is one of the earliest - with his head turned to the right.
