Accessory Mascots

Animals - Birds:  1920s French Gull.

Sold through the French company R L. Kahn 25, Rue de Villejust, as an accessory mascot in the early 1920s.  This mascot with temperature tube was known as Mouette (gull ).  It measures 6 inches high by 5 inches long and is signed to the lower base Bordix.  The piece is interesting in its construction of reverted polished aluminium.  This type of mascot construction is more often associated with the larger stylised bird known a Cocette as was fitted to the Voisin vehicles of 1924.
