French Factory Mascots

Manufacturer:  Talbot-Lago 1935-1959.

1935 to 1959 Stylized initials that represented Talbot-Lago Special.  In 1935 Anthony Lago joined the French Talbot company and produced a range of exotic machinery.  His cross six cylinder pushrod engines won the 1937 Le Mans race and was used in Grand Prix competition before and after the second World War.  His Talbot Record of 1946 with 4482 displacement was to become a classic, winning at Le Mans in 1950.  A smaller version, the Baby Lago, was produced, Maserati, B.M.W. and Simca engines were also used to power the smaller unit.
