This 1940s Crosley bonnet handle also acted as a bonnet catch.  Powel Crosley, Jr started producing the Crosley automobile in 1939, the company had previously built and marketed radios and refrigerators in the '20s and the '30s.  His plan was to build America's lowest-priced car.  The pre-war Crosleys were built in Richmond, Indiana, and the post-war cars were built in Marion, Indiana.  The main office was situated in Cincinnati, Ohio.
