Aeroplanes:  Austrian Monoplane.

1930 Chrome over brass monoplane, design by HAGENAUER, this is a very decorative design aeroplane in the style of the Spirit of St Louis mascot by BousquetCarl Hagenauer formed the Hagenauer  Werkstätte company in 1898, mainly manufacturing Vienna bronze sculptures, later in the Art Nouveau period and with the aid and influence of Wiener Werkstätte Werkstaette they created many new and modern design sculptures, later the sons Franz and Karl were also significant in the design and manufacturing processes.  Most of the Hagenauer design pieces are marked Werkstätte Hagenauer Wien, made in Austria, WHW in the circle, and are also handmade.  A similar model of plane is illustrated in the original WHW Hagenauer catalogue.  Size: height 3.5 with a wingspan of 5.5 inches.
