Miscellaneous:  British Royal Naval Crown.

British Royal Naval Crown mascot.  This mascot was made and supplied by Gieves Ltd 21 Old Bond Street London for ceremonial parades by the Royal Navy, it also appears on their advertising literature.  Marked around the edge with the company name Gieves Ltd 21 Old Bond Street, who were for many years suppliers of metal car badges and ceremonial mascots, in fact right up until the 1970s.  This mascot can be dated to the 1930's as the company moved from their Bond St premises during WWII after a direct bomb hit totally destroyed the building.  A standard pattern of the design was adopted by the Admiralty in 1903, drawn up by Evarard Green, then Rouge Dragon at the college of Arms, In 1918.
