Devils And Imps:  1913 Elf.

1913 British mascot of an Elf and sold through the retailers Brown Brothers Ltd who had outlets in London, Manchester and Paris at that time, also found in the John Jewsbury & Co Ltd, Birmingham catalogue.  Mascot of this design were frowned upon by makers of luxury cars including Rolls Royce and this often lead to manufactures offering their own vehicle mascots as a standard fitment, or as an approved accessory.
