Mobiloil - Vacuum Oil Company Ltd London S.W.1.  The World's Largest Selling Motor Oil.  The Pegasus mascots were offered to customers purchasing Mobiloil from garages, I think they had to buy so much and were given in return vouchers that they collected until they had the required amount and then these along with a portion of cash were trade for a mascot at the garage or through the post.  The advert shows the company's success in the racing world as Stirling Moss won the 1949 Madgwick Cup Race at Goodwood driving a Copper-J.A.P. 1,000 c.c.  The race was organised by the B.A.R.C. The British Automobile Racing Club.  The club was formed in 1912 as The Cyclecar Club.  The British Automobile Racing Club now organises races at almost every venue in Britain, including meetings at Thruxton, Goodwood, Mallory Park, Brands Hatch.
