Miscellaneous:  Extracts and Pictures From The Charles Willmott Sale.

Charles Willmott's company operated from the mid 1920s and into the 1950s from their works at 56 Frederick Street, Birmingham and were a well respected casters and finishers of figural bronzes and mascots, their skills were sought out by Desmo who used them in that capacity to finish off many models in their popular mascot range.

On the 10th of September 2005 at the Beaulieu Autojumble auction Bonhams offered a quantity of original mascot illustrations with eleven matching mascots, together with many other assorted finished and chromed mascots, including large cobra, large eagle, cockerel, butterfly girls, salmon, flying fish, cat, warrior, yacht, dogs, nudes, birds and other winged creatures, many more un-chromed or un-finished mascots, some in pieces including figures, animals, fish, birds, insects, aeroplanes and others, with assorted spares and bases, and other assorted non-mascot castings, together with a hand written list of mascot model numbers.
