c. 1900 British baby mascot known as Our Kid. The saying our kid is still frequently used in the North of England and is a term of endearment usually referring to a child or younger sibling. This mascot is made from a zinc with a slivered or nickel plate finish.
The originals and earlier ones where made of brass with a nickel plate finish, and with a reg number on the back of the base 56679. |
