Animals - Birds:  1920s Seagull by Ary Bitter.

1920s This Seagull in flight was by the French sculptor Ary Bitter and signed to the base Ary Bitter.  The mascot was designed for the Yacht Motor Club of France and was cast at the Susse Frères foundry Paris and with a centre motif in gold plate.  To symbolise the clubs connection with the sea the mascot shows a Seagull a Crab and the Horn of Plenty.  Produced in two sizes, a similar one was displayed on the private Renault 40 CV car of Madam Louis Renault.
